地域支援とは / 2009-02-07 (土)

地域支援とは、自分の住む地域における生活の質を改善し、地域の持つ魅力を再確認・発展させ、地域間のつながりをより良いものにしていこうとする活動のこと。

地方から都市部への過剰な人口移動など、地域間の不均衡が原因でその両者に起こるさまざまな問題。地方では、その土地固有の文化が失われ、都市部では、人の流動性が高く、その土地の文化が育ちにくい傾向にあると言われています。また、農業・環境・エネルギーなどの分野で、過不足や負担の地域間格差などの問題も指摘されています。

『地域支援』では、自分の生まれ育った地域や、今住んでいる地域と自分との関係性を見つめなおし、その価値を再発見し、地域と「つながりなおしていく」さまざまな試みが行われています。
